Wood Products
Larger View Beauty Bark Fine : Fir bark, “fresh” double grind tree bark, reddish brown to dark orange in color. Acts as a natural weed barrier.

Beauty Bark Medium : Fir bark, “fresh” single grind tree bark, reddish brown to dark orange in color. Adds a clean finished look to any yard. Once settled, fines will settle to the bottom leaving bigger pieces on top. Also helps to prevent weeds.

Large or Nugget Bark : Screened Fir bark chips or chunks. This product gives a more rustic look and is used as a decorative top coat. Good option for keeping out cats. Looks good around flowers or trees.

Black Bark Mulch : Single grind aged and slightly decomposing bark. Flowers and lawns really “pop” when this product is used to top dress. Since this product is decomposing it takes less nitrogen from surrounding soils and plants. Helps hold moister in as well as prevents weeds.

Black Bark Mulch Fine : Screened black bark removing "chuncks". This mulch is aged and slightly decomposed. Same dark color as the regular black bark but with a much more refined and uniform look. Since this product is decomposing it takes less nitrogen from surrounding soils and plants. Helps hold moister in as well as prevents weeds.

Brown Bark : Mixed single grind tree bark, aged and brown to mahogany in color. This bark is darker in color than regularly beauty bark and really makes the plants and flowers stand out as well as adds a weed barrier.

Cedar Chips : Fresh clean chips, 1” to 3” in size. Perfect for dog runs and kennels, this product will help control ticks and fleas. Also, good for use on walkways and playground areas. Plan on some compaction after application.

Hog Fuel #1 Grade : Low grade bark material. Excellent for pathways, tractor trails and as animal footing in muddy areas. Works great on either flat or steep slope landscaping.

Washington Blend :  Four way shredded mixture of 1/2 Dark Bark, 3/10 Manure, 1/10 Washed Sand, and 1/10 Pumice. This blend is most often used for planting turf and excellent for container gardens.

Yard Mix Fine : Three way mixture screened to 3/8 minus consisting of 1/3 Topsoil, 1/3 Compost, 1/3 Manure. Fantastic all around soil, great for cultivation of flowers, vegetables, trees and shrubs.

Organic Mix : WSDA approved Organic mix of 1/3 Silver Springs Organics Compost, 1/3 Organic Topsoil, 1/3 Organic Sand. This mixture is excellent for growing certified organic plants and vegetables.

Course Base Topsoil : Less expensive option to regular topsoil. This soil is screened to 1 ¼” minus. Some larger rocks and root debris is mixed in. Used as a first layer under turf mix to increase vertical root growth for lawns. Great option to raise the grade of a landscape.

Fill : Low cost soil material used to raise the level of a landscape. Contains soil and rocks of various sizes. Consistency may vary from load to load.

Soil Amendments

Silver Springs Organic Compost : This compost is made up of food scraps, food soiled paper, farm waste, mixed yard waste and wood waste. Silver Springs compost meets USEPA and WA State testing criteria. Rich in organic matter and soil nutrients, Silver Springs compost increases water holding capacity of soil while aiding in weed suppression.

Mushroom Compost : By-product from a local mushroom farm. It consists of wheat straw, poultry litter, gypsum, and dried urea, which are combined and composted. After being used to grow mushrooms, the spent compost is then sterilized and sold as a soil amendment. This compost is most often mixed into existing soil and used in gardens and flower beds.
